What is All India Service Liability (AISL)

AISL stands for All India Service Liability and when a post carries AISL it means Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India. This is to ensure that after appointment the candidate doesn’t claim for retention at a particular place.

So, it is important to note whether the post for which you are applying/selected carries AISL or not especially if you are not comfortable working outside of your state of domicile.
