4AFSB or Air Force Selection Board is located in Varanasi Cant area of Varanasi. This board shortlists potential candidates having officers like qualities through a scientific testing procedure which extends for 5 days. Candidates are Interviewed here for various entries like NDA, CDSE, NCC and AFCAT entry.
The board has all necessary facilities to provide a comfortable environment to the candidates during their stay at the Centre.
History
It is believed that Varanasi was founded by the god Shiva. During the Mauryan Empire, the city was connected by a road which originates from Taxila and ending at Pataliputra. In the 16th century, Mughal emperor Akbar invested in the city to built two large temples dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu.

Varanasi is one of the cities in our country which are easily accessible from various parts.
Rail – Varanasi Junction is mostly known as Varanasi Cantt Railway Station is well connected to major cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Kolkata by Indian Railways network. Approximately more than 100 trains pass through this railway station, some of the important trains are Kashi Vishwanath Express, Varuna Express, Dadar Express, Bareilly Express, Ahmedabad Express and Ranchi Express.
Road – National Highway 2 connects the city to Kanpur, Kolkata, Agra and national capital Delhi. NH 29 links the city with Gorakhpur via Ghazipur, NH 7 connects the city to the southern parts of Hyderabad, Madurai, Bangalore, and Kanyakumari.
Air – If you are planning to go by air then you have to deboard at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. Air India, Jet Airways, Buddha Air, SpiceJet, and Jet Konnect operate flights from Varanasi to various major cities including Gaya, Delhi, Kathmandu, Lucknow, Khajuraho, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

Places To Visit
Varanasi is holiest of the seven sacred cities in Jainism and Hinduism, the city is situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges. Varanasi is also known as the spiritual capital of India due to various spiritual idols in the city relating to almost all religions of the country. Few of the landmarks which you can visit are Jantar Mantar, Ramnagar Fort, and Sarnath Museum. The most famous temples of Varanasi are Kashi Vishwanath Temple of Lord Shiva, the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, and the Durga Temple infamous for the band of monkeys that reside in the nearby large trees.

hello last year while filling upsc cds 2 (nt) form i mentioned graduation as my passing criteria. at that time i was in 4th semester of my m.sc. so i did mention anything about my pg in the form. now i have to appear for interview at ssb bhopal board. do i need to mention my pg there? do i need to get provisional certificate for my pg?
Not required. Just tell them about graduation because eligibility for cds is graduation.
Sir my afsb is on 12 June and I do not have 12 class passing out certificate so will it be a problem.

How do I know my afcat 2017 ssb date. I have dialed the above phone number but the line is busy all the time. I have also send them email, but no response. What should I do?
First of all when it was mentioned in the instructions that local candidates should not select the particular centre if they are resident of that. We have even gave Tips to select AFSB Centre.
Anyways, now try all possible ways to contact 4 AFSB Varanasi, try fax, email, call. Also once call the 1 AFSB Dehradun if they can tell you about this. One more thing you can do is find someone who also have 4 AFSB as centre and request him to ask the same at the board.
I have contacted some students who have the same problem and no one knows his SSB date. The Contact system of Army, Navy and Airforce is the worst.
They don’t pick phones, do not reply emails, their websites crash all the time.
Yes that’s true but we need to mend our ways to get things done. Make a WhatsApp group of all such candidate and try to find a candidate who already has Varanasi as afsb centre he can ask the official at the board about your dates.

Presently I am working in TCS kolkata. I joined TCS HYDERABAD since one and half years , on 14 th july 2016.
I have SSB interview in VARANASI on 1st JANUARY 2018.
In call letter itself all the forms are attached and i have to bring them dully filled and signed.
For character and antecedent form (certificate), in NOTE it is written that this should be signed by school/college principle /institute of candidate with his/her official seal.
I have passed my college in 2016 only, I am not in same city, How will I get it signed from my school/college principle.?? Please help
