5AFSB or Air Force Selection Board is located in Kanchrapara, North 24 Parganas West Bengal. 5 AFSB is located inside the Air Force Station Kanchrapara This board shortlists potential candidates having officers like qualities through a scientific testing procedure which extends for 5 days. Candidates are Interviewed here for various entries like NDA, CDSE, NCC and AFCAT entry.
The board has all necessary facilities to provide a comfortable environment to stay on the board.
History
This is one of the newest selection board, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of the Air Staff along with senior Air Force officers inaugurated No.5 Air Force Selection Board, in Kanchrapara, Kolkata on December 13, 2014.
