Indian Army invites application for 45th Short Service commission (Tech) – Men (Married/Unmarried) and 16th Short Service Commission (Tech) Women (Unmarried) for October 2015 Course (including widows of Defence Personnel for tech and non Tech Entry). The course will commence in the month of October 2015 in the prestigious OTA (Officers’ Training Academy) Chennai.
SSC Tech is a technical entry for engineering graduates who have completed their degree or currently studying in final year of their graduation, selected candidates will be enrolled in short service commission in Indian Army.
University from which Candidate has completed or pursuing graduation must be a recognized university.
Age Limit
SSC Tech 45 Men: 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Oct 88 and not latter than 01 Oct 95.
SSC Tech 16 Women: 20 to 27 years. Born not earlier than 02 Oct 88 and not latter than 01 Oct 95.
For Widows of Defence Personnel with four years age relaxation.
SSCW Non-Tech: 19 to 29 years. Born not earlier than 02 Jul 86 and not latter than 01 Jul 96.
SSCW Tech: 20 to 31 years. Born not earlier than 02 Oct 84 and not latter than 01 Oct 95.

How To Apply

After successful submission of application a Roll Number will be generated which is confirmation that your online application is accepted.
Take Two (2) print outs of that application.
One copy of print out application duly signed and affixed photograph attested by Gazetted Officer thereon and 10th Class certificate, 12th Class certificate, Degree/Provisional Degree and mark sheets of eight semesters of B.E/B.Tech, all in original along with two attested photocopies of all the above certificates are to be carried out to the Selection Centre by the candidate for SSB Interview. Original will be returned after verification by the Selection Centre.
The second copy of the print out of online application is to be retained by the candidate for his/her reference. No need to send any hard copy to DG Rtg / Rtg Dte.
No Need To Send Any Document To Indian Army
Permanent Body Tattoos
Permanent Body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e. form inside of the elbow to wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hands. Permanent body on any other part of body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from further selection. However Tribes with tattoos on face will be acceptable depending on person to person.
Cut Off Percentage SSC Tech 45 and SSCW Tech 16
Indian Army may fix a cut off percentage for short listing candidates for SSB Interview. For previous courses i.e. SSC Tech-44 course cut off percentage was 61% up to 6th semester and also for those who completed their degree are also required to have 61% overall percentage. Only candidates scoring the required minimum cut off will be called for Interview. SSC Tech 45th and SSC Tech 16th SSB Interview Dates will be declared after short listing of candidates.
